So I am a bit obsessed with lipsticks, and recently I realized that I have developed quite a collection. I thought that I’d share what I’ve been loving and review what I can! Now, this collection is not including some lip glosses that I have, simply because I really don’t wear them enough to give a clear review.
This is my whole lipstick collection. A few drugstore, a few high end, a few liquid, and plenty of colors for everyone.
I thought I’d take it by section, going through all the similar colors to give this some kind of order. I’ve started already with the first two sections: light summery colors and the nude colors. Check those out if you haven’t already.
This is the third and final section. This includes the reds, a brown, and a crazy silver color that are the oddballs and least worn of my collection.
There they are! Let’s go from left to right:
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick- Lolita
This is a wonderfully dark brown matte liquid lipstick. It applies really easily, and yes, it is everlasting. I don’t get to wear this too often, but when I do, I feel so badass, and I think the color looks amazing. Like most liquid lipsticks, this can dry out your lips, so put on some lip balm before you apply it and you’ll be all set. I would highly recommend this, it is amazing, and looks awesome with a gold eye and some liquid eyeliner!
Covergirl Star Wars The Force Awakens Lipstick- 10
I got this mostly for the novelty… I am a huge geek and Star Wars fan. I picked this one because the silver color was so cool and unique. I was a bit disappointed by how sheer it was, but I never really wear it, so it’s okay. I keep it because I just want to say that I have a Star Wars lipstick and I love it. Great for the novelty, not great as an actual product.
Rimmel Lasting Finish By Kate Lipstick- 107
I got this lipstick because Zoe Sugg (Zoella) raves about it. The color is a dark berry red that can be really cool in the fall and winter times. I love Rimmel lipsticks, the texture is perfect, they last really well, and the colors are so pigmented and beautiful. I am a fan of this lipstick, but I’m not sure I can pull the color off. It is very dark and dramatic, but being as pale as I am, it can really make me look a bit washed out and strange. However, Zoe can rock it, so I would definitely recommend. It is perfect if you are interested in trying a dark berry red, but don’t want to spend a ton of money on a high end lipstick.
Rimmel Lasting Finish By Kate Lipstick- 01
This is very similar to Rimmel 107, but instead of a berry tone, this is a deep red color- no berry tone. I find this one lovely around Christmas and winter. I won’t rave about the product itself, you should know at this point how much I love these lipsticks. However, the color is really lovely. I do get a bit washed out by darker lipsticks, but this is a great dark red color. I would definitely recommend.
Lush Lip Paint (Liquid Lipstick? It doesn’t say the exact name!)- Decisive Ready to Rock
Okay, so first of all, I may be a bit biased against this lipstick because when I opened it, the sponge applicator came off and was stuck in the product. I had a nightmare getting it out, and it got everywhere, and stained everything. So… yeah… However, I love Lush so much, and I love the message that they have behind their brand. This lipstick is a very bright red that I really like for all seasons. It is very easy to apply (I have to use a lip brush though), and it lasts for a very long time. I am pleased with it, and would recommend, but the initial struggle I had with it really makes me kind of hate it. When I do wear it, I love it though. It does get everywhere when you’re applying it, so be careful!
The lipsticks reviewed in this post are the first 5 swatches, from left to right!
There you go! That is my entire lipstick collection and review, I hope this was helpful in some way or another. Don’t forget to check out the first two sections, and yes, I know, I am a bit obsessed with lipsticks!
