Holiday Lookbook- Blogmas Day 11!

Welcome to Blogmas day 11! I’ve put together a few of my favorite outfits for the holiday season and winter in general. This is the season for sweaters and scarves and festive dresses!

I think everyone needs a good red dress for this season. This one is from Old Navy and is a lovely shift dress that looks so cute with tights and boots. I like shift dresses for days when I can put my hair up, otherwise it can make me feel a bit frumpy… The red color just screams Christmas and is so beautiful in the stark colors of winter. These kind of dresses can be great for parties if you dress it up with your shoes and makeup, or casual for every day with a natural makeup look and a messy updo.

Everyone needs a good sparkly dress for this time of year. Topshop or ASOS have some amazing ones at the moment. Pair a sparkling dress with some plain pumps or heeled boots and you are party ready. This dress is a dark purple-pink color and I believe it’s from Charlotte Russe last season.

Everyone needs a green dress for festivities. This one is also from Charlotte Russe last season, and fastens behind the neck with two small gold studs. This dark green color goes beautifully with black heels or some sparkly shoes. I prefer not to wear tights with this style of dress, it just feels like too much, so this is definitely one for an indoor party. dsc06786

For a casual daily look, I love massive, cozy scarves paired with soft, long-sleeve shirts, and some baggy jeans. Aeropostal has some amazingly massive scarves that you should totally look at. This top is a v-neck from Gap and if you don’t have any basic shirts from Gap, you should definitely try them out. They are so soft and comfortable, with really high quality material. The jeans are some ripped boyfriend jeans from H&M. This look is perfect for everyday occasions and will keep you comfortable and warm all day.

Cuddling up in a massive sweater when it’s snowing and cold outside This particular one is from Nordstrom and is the best thing I have purchased this year. It’s white and fuzzy, with a high neck, and slightly cropped hem. Pair this with some black skinny jeans and heeled ankle boots, and you are set. This is a great look for lounging around the house, or slightly more professional days out. I love this look with a slightly neutral makeup look and some big, wavy hair.

The last look that I’m loving for casual festivities with friends and family, is so simple, but really quirky and wonderful. This shirt is from People Tree and is a deep purple color with a  knitted section on each of the sleeves. If you are looking for a unique piece of clothing to buy for someone this year, or something to add to your own wardrobe, I would definitely get this. It’s comfortable, warm, and unbelievably versatile. I’ve paired it with a pair of grey dress pants from Maurices. I love this shirt with a dark lipstick, particularly the Mac Whirl lipstick. I’ve just put my hair in a messy ponytail with it all crimped and huge. Practically any shoes go with this outfit too.

And there’s Blogmas day 11! I hope it’s given you some inspiration for the coming weeks and for your winter wardrobe. I’ll be back tomorrow!
