It’s a new year and time for some new skincare! As I’ve said in previous posts, I have some very troublesome skin- acne, oil, dry patches, scarring, the works. So I thought it was only right to go onto cultbeauty.co.uk and find some of the top rated things in the beauty world to help clear up my skin in 2017.
The first thing I got was the Sunday Riley Martian, mattifying, melting, water-gel toner. That’s a mouthful. This is something that I’ve heard a lot about and was really excited to get my hands on. It’s this weird green, foamy gel stuff that when you put on your face, turns to a clear liquid. I’m going to be using this at night, before bed, so that I can just wash my face in the morning and hope that is does what it needs to while I’m asleep.
The next thing I got was the Pixi Glow Tonic. This is definitely the thing I am most excited for. It’s cheap, it smells good, and I’ve been reading reviews of what it’s good for, and people are saying that it is excellent for getting rid of acne scars. My biggest skin issue at the moment is scarring, so if this stuff works, then I will be adding it to my routine. I’m going to be using this in the morning, just put some on a cotton pad and wipe that all over my face.
I also got a new moisturizer. While I’m in love with the Origins Zero Oil moisturizer, I thought I’d try a little tub of something new and very thick for the winter. This is the MV Organic Skincare Rose Soothing and Protective Moisturizer. All I know about this is that is smells pretty great, it’s thick, and it supposedly is good for all skin types. We’ll see how this goes.
The last thing in this haul is the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm. This came with the cleansing cloth that you use to remove the makeup and balm from your face. Everyone has heard reviews of this, so I won’t go into detail, but I’m nearly out of my Body Shop cleansing balm, so I thought I’d give this a try.
There you go, my Cult Beauty Haul! I freaking love Cult Beauty. I feel like Sephora is the place to go for makeup, but Cult Beauty is definitely better for skincare. I’ll let you know if there’s anything I love from this haul. I hope your new year is off to a great start and I’ll be back soon!
